On 07-07-07 we released a DVD companion for our book, Astro-Theology & Shamanism. This DVD companion contains much of the information and imagery contained within book itself (without all of the heavy footnotes), as well as much of the information contained within the free video (available at GnosticMedia.com) titled, "The Pharmacratic Inquisition."
The book and video question the historical existence of Jesus Christ and shed light on other religions such as Mithraism, Hinduism, Judaism, as well as indigenous shamanism, showing the origins of shamanism through psychedelic/entheogenic drug use, sun and star worship, and fertility and sex worship.
This DVD is a followup and updated release of the online 2004 video by the same name.

John Marco Allegro (born in London 17 February 1923, died 17 February 1988) was a freethinker who challenged orthodox views on the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Bible and the history of religion.
After service in the Royal Navy during World War II, Allegro started to train for the Methodist ministry but transferred to a degree in Oriental Studies at the University of Manchester. In 1953 he was invited to become the first British representative on the international team working on the recently discovered Dead Sea Scrolls in Jordan. The following year he was appointed assistant lecturer in Comparative Semitic Philology at Manchester, and held a succession of lectureships there until he resigned in 1970 to become a full-time writer. In 1961 he was made Honorary Adviser on the Dead Sea scrolls to the Jordanian government. What happened next will no doubt change the course of religious history! Jan Irvin is an author, lecturer and researcher in archaeoastronomy, astrotheology, ethnopharmacology, shamanism, symbolism, ancient and modern mythology, fertility cults and ancient and modern religion.
He co-authored the book Astrotheology & Shamanism: Unveiling the Law of Duality in Christianity and Other Religions, 2006, with Andrew Rutajit. He also co-produced the DVD The Pharmacratic Inquisition, 2007, and Sexual Symbolism in Religion, 2007, also with Andrew Rutajit. He is also the author of a new book entitled The Holy Mushroom -- The Evidence of Mushrooms in Judeo-Christianity, 2008.
He is the curator of the official website for John Marco Allegro, the much criticized Dead Sea Scrolls scholar, and has contributed much to the re-examination of many of Allegro's theories. Last year he contributed research toward the academic article Wasson and Allegro on the Tree of Knowledge as Amanita, 2006, with Michael Hoffman. This article is to be published in the The Journal of Higher Criticism.
He has been featured in the documentaries The American Drug War, to be aired on Showtime this March. He's also featured in the recently released Canadian film called High Jacking Humanity.
He brings with him over 15 years of research into the study of ethno-pharmacology and drugs. Through the years he has given dozens of public speeches and radio interviews regarding his studies. He is currently working on several book and video projects to be released over the next two years.
