I have monolids (no crease), so I hope these makeup videos are beneficial, especially to creaseless people out there who need ideas on how to do eye makeup. My mother has had eyelid surgery. She's even bought me eyelid tape when I was younger and I was socially constructed to believe that my eyes were undesirable. There was a point when I hated my eyes the most and even planned to save up money and planned a time to have the surgery and heal without people seeing me. It's sad when I think about it. I was in denial and didn't think of it as a big deal, but in reality, there are huge underlying issues that people don't want to think about and accept. I strongly do not support eyelid tape, glue, or surgery. The difference to me between these things and things like hair extensions or false lashes, would be that these would actually change the anatomical structure of the upper eyelid versus just extra or longer hair. Let's work with what we've got.

I hear many women who have had or want to have the surgery claim that their reasoning is because they can't apply makeup without a crease or a larger one. This is the reason why I'm here. I want to prove that with these eyes, I CAN wear makeup. Have the procedure if you want, but I don't want to hear that excuse anymore.

Please don't try to insult my intelligence based on the sole fact that I like to paint my face. No, I am not insecure about my physical appearance. I do not RELY on makeup. I am content with the way I look and makeup is what I do for recreation. I know I don't NEED makeup. I just CHOOSE to use it. Not that hard of a concept to grasp. Thanks for for your... concern.
