BTW...Bush clearly attempted to shrink the size of government, but the liberal Republicans got in bed with the DemocRATs and made shrinking government impossible. Democrats would have spent much more had they the chance.

Neo-cons are the new face of the Republican party that no longer adheres to the principles of smaller government and reduced spending of the old GOP. These are Republicans that have furthered the Reagan-era party reforms from the 80s. If you think that the Bush admin is full of classical conservatives, think again. Classical conservatives don't run up the highest budget deficit in history and they don't INCREASE the size of government by 20% in four years. That's NEO-CONSERVATIVISM.

Even Obama changed his once held views and renounced his connection to his pastor of 20 years...McCain cried uncle when the Republican party got him in a head lock and forced him to renounce his stance on illegal immigration.

People change their views all the time. They will probably not change their ideology.

Frankly speaking, I hate all the unmovable arguments people have over politics. No one is ever going to really change their views and all the arguments will ever do is turn into shouting contests. I, personally, don't believe that politics should come into play for anything more than politics. If you let one thing infect your whole life, it's just going to control you. Though, that's true for everything.
